This unique sneaker, inspired by vintage running shoes, was made possible by Sea cell, an innovative fabric made from algae, grown in an eco-responsible way, without toxic products and whose production requires less water than almost all conventional fabrics. The seaweed we use is harvested in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way and is not processed. In addition, only the top part of the seaweed is harvested, allowing the organism to continue to grow naturally. The circle is complete.

As always at CORAIL°, we use our marine waste collected and crushed in Marseille. On the other hand, it is the first time that we have been able to inject them into transparent soles with seaweed hues. Thus encapsulated, the waste is resistant to friction and is designed to contribute to the cushioning and ergonomics of our sole inspired by vintage running shoes. Seaweed, marine debris, comfort, the recipe for a trainer that is good for the sea and your feet.

A BREATHABLE AND THERMO-REGULATING FABRIC
Seaweed is the ideal material for making textiles: in addition to being more ecological than most conventional fabrics, it has many properties that will make you want to wear your Algae everyday: first of all, they are breathable and offer natural thermal regulation, even in very hot weather. They are also flexible, soft to the touch and very resistant, especially in the face of humidity, which makes it possible to offer great comfort of use and resistance over time. And to do it right, they are beneficial for the skin and anti-irritation. Hard to beat.

A NEW COURSE FOR CORAIL°
As you have understood, seaweed is a unique and exceptional material. And beyond that, it allows us to strengthen our commitment: in addition to recycled material, transformed within the port, in the CORAIL° Lab, we are also going to turn to natural, renewable and sustainable materials. This marriage of convenience allows us to solve the problems of the present (marine pollution and waste treatment), by exploring solutions for the future (natural renewable materials). Our future launches will increasingly marry these two solutions because we are convinced that for a sustainable improvement in the way of making clothes and consuming them, one does not go without the other.
